Product description
Teesta Valley estate tea is the first step on our path to learn about quality Indian first flush Darjeeling teas. This tea is grown in one of the highest tea estates in Darjeeling and it was the first ever to be awarded gold medal for the finest quality of its product. Due to favourable climate the tea grown in this area usually reaches the highest price in the tea market. The tea is characterized by its muscat aroma and many tea tips. Due to the high content of polyphenols, which are more like the polyphenols contained in green and not black tea, first flush teas can turn bitter during preparation. We can thus adjust our preparation and use a smaller quantity of tealeaves or leave them in water for a shorter time. We can also try with the preparation typical for green tea.
