Jasmine Dragon Pearl green tea

Only the top two leaves and a bud are plucked for Jasmine Dragon Pearl. Every jasmine tea is scented by alternating layers of tea leaves and fresh jasmine buds. Thus the tea gradually acquires a sweet jasmine aroma during the process of drying. In teas of lower quality they repeat the procedure for a couple of times (2-3), while with Dragon Pearl it can be repeated up to 20 times. Tea is then rolled by hand into typical pearls that gave tea its name. When infused with slightly cooled water we can watch the pearls unfold and twirl around like little ballerinas.
