Yunnan Gold SGFOP black tea

The province of Yunnan in China is the cradle of tea and the very heart of the tea world. Tea tree (Camellia sinensis) originates in the area of today’s Yunnan, east of Himalaya, the northern part of Myanmar and the Indian Assam. It is interesting that today’s widely appreciated black tea only started to be produced in Yunnan not more than half a century ago. Before that, green tea and pu erh were given priority. This finest quality Yunnan is characterised by many fluffy golden tips and a refined aroma. The infusion is reddish-brown and of intense taste. It goes well with added milk, especially in the early or late morning. Together with Darjeeling of equal quality it becomes a unique blend with a completely new width of aroma.
