A surprise from eastern Nepal, bordering Darjeeling, where high-quality tea is grown that is not so different from the well-known teas across the border. Here, tea plants are grown at altitudes of 1,000–2,000 meters. The plantations are generally small and run by family businesses.
The brewed tea is clear, very refreshing, and best enjoyed in the morning or early afternoon. Try it first without milk.
This premium tea comes from the Sakhejung region in eastern Nepal. It is characterized by a high proportion of buds and a very refined aroma. Its flavor is sweet, with a honey-like scent and sometimes fruity and nutty notes. It is best brewed with fairly hot water (95°C), as its creamy and rich flavor develops after about three minutes.
